The Duttons Team
The Power of Four!
“A superb, hardworking team that runs like a finely-tuned engine…”
Lois Dutton, C-CREC
There are some people you never forget. They are people who take the time to really listen and go the extra mile to help you reach your goals. Lois Dutton is one of those people. During the past 25 years, Lois has become one of the most trusted and respected REALTOR®s in Greater Victoria. Lois knows this city inside and out, and she consistently wins clients’ loyalty with her proven real estate expertise and thoughtful, innovative and consultative approach.
This former history and English teacher, who taught for eight years in Libya, embarked on a career in Real Estate in 1983 when she found it merged her passion for bringing people and places together. A consistent VREB MLS Award* winner, Lois co-founded Duttons & Co. Ltd. in 1995 with her husband Barry Dutton.
Lois is an avid reader with a keen eye for trends, always keeping her finger on the pulse of the real estate market. Her teammates at Duttons refer to Lois as inspirational — and so do the many testimonials from the clients she has served.

Colin Moorman
Colin unabashedly loves real estate. “It’s the people,” says this multi-talented REALTOR® and former CEO consultant who has worked with companies throughout the UK, USA and Canada. In fact, Colin’s clients and peers alike will tell you that he has a way of breaking down barriers, helping clients learn about real estate, and having fun the whole time.
Colin brings to Duttons more than 30 years experience assisting people in transition. He is well known in the community for his two decades of work as Executive Director of the Cridge Centre for the Family. His dedication to serving others was recognized in 2003 with the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for Community Service. As former president of the Better Business Bureau of Vancouver Island, Colin has a deep commitment to client service and satisfaction. He is Duttons’ expert when it comes to sorting out bylaws and regulations and he is a master negotiator. In his downtime, he loves acting, camping and his involvement with his church.
Ole Schmidt, B.Sc.
Duttons’ clients benefit from Ole's background and passion for architecture, design, business and service. They enjoy his ability to see the subtler assets or defects of a property, and to engage in creative problem solving. Ole enjoys building relationships with his clients. "I want them to be satisfied with the process and the results," he says. His outstanding client skills and ability to clarify complex processes grew during his five years as a language trainer to corporate employees in Seoul, Korea. Like all the Duttons Team, Ole feels it’s important not only to help clients understand the buying and selling process, but also to have them feel comfortable with it.
Ole graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree. There, he balanced his academic endeavors with his commitments as a varsity athlete. It is the team approach at Duttons which appeals to Ole, because it mirrors team sports - where the sum is greater than the individual parts. In his off hours, Ole can be found training for his next marathon.
